The C7000 series is in my opinion one of the best buys, being a bit cheaper than the C8000, but offering almost the same features. I bought the 55-Inch version and it rocks. Superb image quality and the 3D feature is simply impressive.

Rating
I researched for about 1 month before deciding on this TV. Initially I thought I would buy a Sony but I started leaning towards the Samsung 55 inch LED. However after demoing this TV and reading about it extensively, I decided to go for it. I made the right decision. If you are thinking about getting the Samsung LED over this, I would strongly suggest this Plasma. Infact I think its the best TV available other than the Samsung 9000 series LED which costs more than twice as much and is smaller.

Pros: Outstanding Black level, I didn't realize how important black level was to the overall picture quality.
Outstanding color reproduction, I am seeing shades that I didn't know existed.
Good color vibrancy: Bright and outstanding in low lit rooms. Ok in bright rooms, there is some reflection. and not as bright as the LED, but viewing LED at angles is absolutely horrible. This TV is great when watching from any angle.

Cons: Does buzz a bit, but its just at the borderline of being annoying. So far I only hear it when listening at very low volume when the kids are sleeping. But not too noticeable. It does get a little louder when switching to 3D. If it gets any louder i would have a problem with it, but not now.
Also this set generates alot of heat, i was surprised, but read elsewhere its normal. I mean it is a very big screen so its understandable.

Other thoughts:
Only get this TV if you don't watch much standard definition TV, its too big and just magnifies the defects of SD, get 46 inch or smaller. If you watch alot of HD, then you'll be happy.

I was not impressed with the 2D to 3D conversion. Maybe i'm not watching good source material, but it didn't seem to add much depth and instead made the picture darker.

Watching my home movie which is recorded in my HD Camcorder is amazing! Its like watching HD TV.
Can't wait for the PS3 upgrade to be able to play 3D videos and games. I'm sure watching a 3D source will be worth the wait.

This TV's picture quality is so good that you notice the slightest defects in the picture itself when for example the camera is trying to focus, you can see the slightest shifts in focus, light changes and camera movements. I was thinking that the picture is so good and large that it amplifies the defects of the recording itself.

All in all, this is a fantastic TV.

Rating
This TV is really amazing. the blacks are perfectly black (no light from the screen is emitted from black areas) the colors are vibrant. the picture is super crisp. my only complaint is the sound from the TV is quite. I have changed multiple settings and yet we still sometimes have problems hearing soft dialog. we are looking to invest in a 2.1 sound bar to enhance the sound a little more. I have this with the 3D BluRay player from Samsung and frankly we never watch anything in 3D. the Nintendo Wii is sometimes a little fun to watch in 3D but I found it took a little too long for the TV to process the video quick enough to get accurate response with the remote and it quickly becomes annoying. overall I still feel this is one of the best TVs out there

Rating
I just installed my new TC-P48VT25 TV. Out of the box it looks very good. Though i cant wait to find some calibration settings on it. THX mode works pretty well, though i did have to tweak it to get rid of the darkness that THX mode seems to want. Blue Rays look fantastic. And HD over Uverse...Well...Its Uverse, but most channels looked pretty good.

The reason i gave it four stars and not five....NO 3D content. I cant even find a place on line to order any 3d movies that use the Full HD 3d technology. So i have these glasses...that just sit in the box that they came in. A little disapointed in that.

Price isnt bad, about what i paid for my 46 inch Sony XBR2 a few years back, and the picture truly is amazing. Two thumbs up.

Rating
I've had this TV for 3 days now. I'm not going to go into great detail on the picture quality, because other reviews have commented on how good it is. The purpose of this review is to be a data point for a buzzing set. I have the latest firmware, the ferrite cores installed around the power cord, and the tv is sitting away from the wall. It BUZZES, plain and simple. If you're anywhere in front of the TV itself, it can be heard. If you move your head beyond the bezel of the TV, the buzzing goes away almost 100%. I sit 15 feet away and can clearly hear it during low volume. I'm trying to keep the volume loud enough to drown it out, but during quiet scenes I hear it. It's a very high pitched frequency. My parents cannot hear it (56 years old), but I clearly can (27 years old). My girlfriend can hear it but she says it doesn't bother her. It bothers me, to the point where I am not enjoying the TV.

I contacted ABT (one of the sellers listed here on Amazon) and they simply state "all plasmas buzz." While that is true to an extent, they don't buzz like this model. Both of my brother's have plasmas. One is a 58b550 that doesn't buzz like this, the other is a 60" Pioneer Kuro that doesn't buzz like this. I have a Samsung tech coming out soon, but I'm fairly confident on what will be said, either a) it's a normal sound or b) I'll need a complete new panel. I don't want either. I want to return the set and exchange it for the same model with hopefully a newer build date to see if the issue has been addressed. If not I'll move on to a different TV.

If you aren't able to hear extremely high frequency sounds, then you'll fall in love with this TV. If you can hear it, and you have the TV positioned so you sit in front of it at eye level, it will bother you. If you mount it above eye level so that the bottom of the bezel is above your eyes, you will not hear it.

I really wish this set didn't buzz. It's an awesome TV aside from the horrendous noise it emits. It's sleek, attractive, runs cool in comparison to other plasmas, decent black levels, excellent color reproduction, great video processing, but oh man, the buzzing.

I hope this review helps others to make sure beforehand that they can/can't hear this type of buzzing. Hopefully it will save you the headache that I am currently going through.

Rating
I own several Samsung products and have been pleased with each one. I have also read of the horror stories of working with Samsung customer support and must say in my case all were proved false. I did my homework and was waffling between the UN46C7000 and the UN46C6300, thought for the extra money the 7000, 3D Blu-Ray Player and starter kit would be a fun addition to the house. The TV showed up as promised on the day I arranged, eagerly put it all together, inserted the 3D movie Monsters vs Aliens...it didn't work. Just got a blured image. What to do? My first thought was to return it to Amazon and start all over. But, decided to give Samsung a chance to correct the problem. The TV worked fine in 2D it just lacked the 3D and wow what a picture, it truly is crystal clear. The Blu-Ray disk player (BD-C6900) is awesome as well, a little pricey, but fast! Well the call to customer service went well, started with the standard card flipping problem solver who quickly passed me to technical support. He had me run through a battery of problem solving checks and decided a visit from a technician was necessary. Got the call the following day for a visit the next day and get this "When it was convenient for me"! I'm a teacher so it's not really easy to up and take a day for the usual "I'll be there between Noon and 7:00" appointment. He showed up at 5:00 ran through a series of tests, no not much different than the one's I ran through with the phone tech, but I guess he had to confirm the previous tests. Still no 3D. He needed to make contact with Samsung about his findings. Early the next week he returned, (yes, again when convenient) and found that I had at best a failed IR transciever or worse a failed main board. Got a call Monday of the next week that parts were ordered and an appointment was made for Thursday to make the repair. The tech showed up again and I now have 3D. So from beginning to end we waited a little more than 4 weeks to have the 3D but wow, it really is impressive. Yep, I know it's a gimmick and there are few movies to support the feature but Blu-Ray movies and HD television look spectacular and I would recommend the UN46C7000 on that alone. If I were to have one wish granted it would be to include built-in Wi-Fi instead of the add on stick, come on Samsung I paid a premium for this TV!

If I had it to do all over would I buy this television again? Yes, but I had a working 2D television with a broken 3D feature. If the TV had shown up totally broken I might had a more negative review. Oh and at the advice of the technician I extended the warranty 2 years, just to be on the safe side.

Got a call Monday of the next week that parts were ordered and an appointment was made for Thursday to make the repair. The tech showed up again and I now have 3D. So from beginning to end we waited a little more than 4 weeks to have the 3D but wow, it really is impressive. Yep, I know it’s a gimmick and there are few movies to support the feature but Blu-Ray movies and HD television look spectacular and I would recommend the UN46C7000 on that alone.

Rating
First Samsung LED is GREAT- so much brighter than an LED. Amazon delivery included "white glove" - meaning it was carried into house, unpacked, plugged in and operated. Great service. My UN46C7000 does not have backlighting like the 8000, but we can not see any difference. But the 240Hz refresh rate does give a better picture than even the 120Hz.
I use a powerline wired internet connection (PLK300) and Windows 7 (Intel i7-920) - I set up a shared homegroup for videos, photos and music on my PC and Samsung instantly knew it was there. I have no need to use the Samsung DLNA software, as Windows 7 does it all for me. I record TV and etc on my PC and Samsung plays them; even pauses and rewinds and fast forwards!! I tried wireless (using AE1000 adapter) it was good but not as fast as the powerline wired connection. Setting up Pandora and other apps is amazingly simple.

The 3D glasses do not work well in brightly lighted area (ours kept going in / out of 3D) - called Samsung and they were going to send someone out to investigate!! I declined their offer, because when we closed the shades to block the bright sunlight the glasses worked OK.
Recommendation - get the 240Hz refressh, no need for backlighting, no need to load Samsung's DLNA software manager onm your computer. The powerline ethernet PLK300 is sooo easy to use.

Rating
While it does have some nice gimicky features, as a "TV" it leaves a bit to be desired.

You will most likely NEVER use the 3D feature. They charge WAY TOO MUCH for glasses that will only work with Samsung TV's... PICK A STANDARD INSTEAD OF RAPING YOUR CUSTOMERS!!

DLNA is nice to stream videos from a PC running Windows Media Center or other similar services. But it has limitations in this TV. With all components running directly connected to a gigabit switch, it still takes WAY TOO LONG to load anything. Fast forward and rewind are not available. That in itself is ridiculous and makes it nearly worthless. You are much better off using the TV as a monitor connected to a seperate computer. But then why bother on a TV with all these features? Simply put, they don't work well, so don't pay extra for them!

The major killer..... Even with the backlight and contrast turned all the way up (you can't turn the brightness itself above a medium setting without everything getting washed out), the screen is just too dark! With all room lighting off, still too dark.

Bottom line... If you must have a TV, maybe Samsung isn't the best anymore (at least not in this Series). If money is no option, spring for the high end LED backlit models. Then again, you wouldn't be considering this TV anyways.

Don't buy, Don't buy!

If I could swap it in for a different model, I would in a heartbeat! Samsung, you disappoint heavily here..

Rating
caveat - just moved in and have only hooked it all up and watched for about a couple hours...

I literally spent about 4 months going through all the different reviews on different sites. I knew that I wanted a 55" or plus tv. I wanted the best HD quality I could find.

I initially was going to go with the highest rated 2009 samsung but had heard a great deal about a buzzing issue (PN55860?). It scared me off. I then switched and decided on Panasonic. I then found out that they have issues with not maintaining the blacks and that "graying" occurred after so many hours. I checked that one of the list. Next up was the LG and I nearly pulled the trigger on the LG LE8500 despite how pricey it was. I still have no criticism of that tv, but I found this one and was able to get what I hoped would be as much or more t.v. for the price.

I did not care about having 3d, but thought it would be pretty cool to have it anyway. I bought the bundle through Amazon which included the 3d blue ray player and 3d kit. I have not yet checked out the 3d so I am not able to comment as to the 3d technology.

I have seen the picture and it is lights out incredible. I have to say that the room it is in has a great deal of outside light and it doesnt adversely effect my viewing. It looks great on our wall as well. I can hear no buzzing that is emitting from the tv at all. I may not be as acutely aware of those hard to hear sounds, but I hear nothing.

I probably would be frustrated that the tv is not wireless ready out of the box (you have to buy a usb connector), but that is a non-issue since the blue ray player is wirelessly connected to the internet. This is particularly awesome given the great things that come with (especially pandora...great for when you are working around the house and just want a playlist to go).

I was also happy with the freight company that Amazon hired to have deliver the tv. They brought it in, assembled what was needed and then ran a full check on the tv to ensure that it was working and fine.

The tv is thin. I dont know how to convey how truly thin it is. I also like that Samsung was smart enough to make the HDMI outlets on the side and that area recessed so that I could flush mount it to the wall without the tv sticking out (which I did and purchased a peerless flush mount through Amazon as well). I couldnt be happier with the way this worked out.

This entire unit is driven by a newly purchased yamaha reciever with surround sound that has this setup sounding absolutely epic at this point.

I have to say, although I just moved in and have barely had a chance to really sit down and relax to enjoy a full length player or even the 3d, I am extremely satisfied with this product.

I hope this helps others like myself that have been concerned with spending this much money on a product you fully hope you will be satisfied with. Good luck and hope your luck is as good as mine.

I needed this TV for a small room and it fit the space perfectly. However, when using the remote to change channels there is a delay. I have to wait about 5 seconds when I change the channel. Also there is a little glare on the screen when watching programs.
